“Cat Cocos” ferry from Mahé to Praslin

The trip

Mahé and Praslin are connected by the comfortable Cat Cocos high-speed ferries “Isle of Mahé” and “Isle of Praslin”, usually running 3 times a day.

Departure point is the Inter Island Terminal on Mahé, within walking distance from the capital Victoria.
The trip between Mahé and Praslin takes a little less than an hour.
Arrival on Praslin is at the Baie St. Anne pier, which is in the eastern part of Praslin Island. It is also where the ferries to La Digue depart from.

Taking the Cat Cocos ferry from Mahé to Praslin is a great way to enjoy spectacular views of the islands. You may see flying fish and even dolphins if you’re lucky.

We strongly recommend to prebook your ferry trips in the Seychelles. Often ferries are booked out and without a reservation you might get stuck on the island.
Plus, you pay about 20% less when booking with us than when you buy a ticket at the jetty.

Our tickets are fully refundable and changeable! E.g. flight delays are no problem. If your flight is late, you will be put on the next ferry.
Change your plans? No problem, we will rebook you without charge! *)
This is also why we offer no “Early Bird” booking discounts. We’ve seen too many angry people being stranded with these “cheaper” tickets.
Please note that Early Bird tickets are non-changeable and non-refundable. Believe us, you don’t want your holidays to start this way.

*) Note: Our terms & conditions apply.

Booking classes

There are 3 classes available:

  • Main cabin (called “Coco de Mer class”): Air conditioned and with TV entertainment. No option to upgrade once you’re on board.
  • Upper deck (called “Island Hopper class”): In the fresh air, but with rain and wind covers for those occasional wet days. When booking upper deck, you have the option to move down to the main cabin if you wish (subject to availability). Personally, we prefer this class whenever we ride the Cat Cocos.
  • Business class (called “Lazio Lounge”): Wider seats, more room in general.
